Epoxy Resin Filler
We offer a wide range of epoxy resin filler powders for a variety of end uses - fine epoxy fillers for fairing, hollow spheres to increase the volume and reduce the density of a resin system, microfibres for adding strength, and flow modifiers to thicken mixes.
Hollow spheres
- add volume
- reduce density
- for making (low strain) adhesives, and filling & fairing mixes
Types
Microballoons. Phenolic resin spheres, brown in colour. Easy to apply, easy to sand.
Glass bubbles (Glasscell 25). White glass microballoons, better abrasion resistance than phenolic microballoons. Good density/compression resistance.
Glass bubbles (Glasscell 10). Ultralight version of Glasscell 25.
Short fibres (microfibres)
- a resin filler to add strength
- for making structural adhesives
Types
Wood-cellulose fibres (Treecell) - for making structural adhesives, or high-density radius or fillet joints, white in colour.
Flow modifiers
- very fine powder to thicken resin
- thickens mixes and reduces their flow on vertical surfaces (increase thixotropy)
- increases initial adherance (tack)
- can be used with other fillers
Type
Fumed Colloidal Silica (Sillicell). White in colour.
Formulations of the above
Mixfill 10 - mix of microballons & colloidal silica. Very fine particles for easy sanding.
Mixfill 27/30 - mix of microballoons & colloidal silica. Medium particle sized sanding filler.
Woodfill 130 - mix of cellulose fibres and colloidal silica. White filler, for low density radius or fillet joints, gap or hole filling.
Woodfill 250 - mix of cellulose fibres and colloidal silica. Cream colour, blends into wood with resin, for high density radius or fillet joints or bonds.
Filler + Epoxy
Mixfill 100 - solvent-free epoxy filler. Easy to apply with spatula, very easy to sand.
